With as intense as things have been in the news, finding time to relax and reset matters more than ever. Today is Garden Meditation Day. Its exact origins may be unclear, but the idea of meditation surrounded by nature is hardly new. Popularized in Chinese and Japanese cultures, the beauty of a meditation garden gradually spread to the West. So take some time for yourself today, maybe enjoy a Tile Paint puzzle.
In 2008, Amtrak wanted to raise awareness about the history and benefits of rail travel. They declared National Train Day to fall on the Saturday closest to May 10th each year. May 10th is the anniversary of the pounding of the Golden Spike in Provost, Utah, which completed the first transcontinental railroad. Amtrak discontinued their endorsement of the holiday in 2015, but rail fans continue to celebrate.

Season’s greetings! Today, we have a Tridoku puzzle. In this Sudoku variation, fill in each large triangle with the numbers 1-9 with no repeats. Also, you may not use duplicates in the legs of the highlighted outer or inner triangles.
I wanted to work at least one word puzzle in this month, so here’s a pretty simple one. Place all the letter pairs into the circles so that they spell six 6-letter words, reading across the line to the opposite colored circle. All of the words include the letters ON in the center.

In the United States, Christmas is everywhere right now. Sometimes it’s easy to overlook the holidays celebrated by other cultures around the world, and even here in the US. Today’s puzzle is a simple word search. I encourage you to look into the meanings of some of these other holidays – it’s interesting reading.

For this final day of Hanukkah, we have a simple word puzzle. Within this web, find the phrase HAPPY HANUKKAH. Start at one letter H, and trace a path along the lines to each following letter. This path will not cross itself, so it won’t use any letter twice.
